Hi everyone,
Well opening day sure went by in a flash. But it was still a lot of fun to get out and catch some Walleyes. Today was a blustery, windy day, but that just made it more rewarding.
It started slow for me. due to some unforseen circumstances, I wasn't able to get out untill 3:30 this afternoon.
I started by jigging and bobber fishing the mid-depth sunken bogs. Then drifted some, and it wasn't untill I started to cast crank baits over some shallow weeds that I finally caught some Walleyes.
I caught a total of three at 17", 16", and 14". I released them all so we could catch them again another day. I've got pictures, but will have to wait on those until I can remember how to resize them.
Well, I'll be fishing the Walleyes hard untill tuesday. I'll make a report everyday, so keep checking back.
