Tuesday I went up and fished the mouth of chequamegon bay between bayfield and washburn again. The coho are still in there thick, but out a bit deeper, my shallowest fish was in about 20-25 feet of water. the rest were between 35-60 feet of water. All the smelt are done spawning and are schooled up in the deeper water. Still catching the coho trolling stick baits in the top 5 feet of the water column. Reef runner ripsticks are still the best baits, with 55 feet of line out at 1.8 mph. I kept 4 coho when I was up there.

Yesterday my buddy and I went crappie fishing out on smith lake by hayward, we only fished for about an hour and a half or two hours but caught maybe 20-25 crappies and a few small gills too. All the crappies were males and we were fishing in about 3-5 feet of water in the newly emerging lily pads. almost all of our fish were caught on crappie minnows with a hook and that's it. also caught a few on beetle spins and AA jigs. The water temps out there were mid to upper 50's.

Good luck,
