I took a different approach yesterday and fished a lake in northern IL.
Fished from 12pm until dark. I trolled and casted trying to figure things out.
I stuck with casting, by 3 O'clock I had a 42 in the net but had the leader break on me while netting the fish, the good thing was the musky shook the bait off when the leader broke.
Then at 6 O'clock I caught a 36 inch musky and a 32. Good day on the water, just wish I got a photo of the 42.
Hellhounds and Reef hawgs worked very well. The water temps were 54 degrees
