Walleye fishing is hot, but not all day! When the bite is on you have to capitalize because once it shuts off catching fish is tough. We limited out(28 walleye by 9:15am) on our first trip early morning in our first 4 drifts using purple hair jigs with stringer hooks. Visit this link for more info on the JIGS we use: http://www.eriedrifter.com/pages/posts/great-lakes-angler-magazine-hair-stinging-erie-walleyes4.php
Our afternoon trip started out slow, but we kept fishing and as the sun came down the fish came alive. We were able to catch our limit right before dark (another 28 walleye).
This year has been a fast starter and great fishing thus far! Be sure to check out the pics posted
