We headed out yesterday @ 2:00 PM went straight to Cone reef where the bite was supposed to be, no luck muddy water. So we went to Crib reef where the water was starting to clear up had several bites also with no luck. We called a couple other captains and our connection from the Maumee Bay area said they were limiting out and the water was in good shape. So we headed 16 miles to the west just inside the bay area and began to catch some real nice walleye dropping straight down with purple hair jigs and blade baits. We caught 4 walleyes and our other friends who followed us down caught 8 walleyes good ones in the 4-6 lb range and some of the boats had limits all using hairjigs tipped with lake shiners.
