This morning there was open water along the shoreline extending out a couple hundrend feet. By 7 tonight the entire bay from Gladstone harbor to the Esky River and over to Stonington was ice free.
Wow. THAT was quick!
Just one week ago I was out fishing in that open water and drilling through about 18 inches of good ice. A very sobering reminder of how fast it can go.

Now it's time to get the boats out. I just bought one a couple weeks ago.

Nice ice is out on the 19 of march on the south side.Time to get the boat ready to go and look for some more Perch if the weather is nice. Looks like the ice on the north side will be going soon to. Walleye Quinn...
