Lol, it is surprising how warm it's been. I have mixed feelings about it. I'd love to get the boat out and get in some good, early, open water panfish fishing before opener. On the other hand, I have a feeling it's going to get cold enough to delay ice out longer than what it seems now.

If that's the case, I would have rather been able to have the "driving" ice stick around for another couple weeks longer than it did.

The ONLY thing I know for sure is the peach speedo should stay at home - forever.:D

We are getting warm weather down here in Chi Town too
The Indiana lakes are all open.
Perch fishing on Lake Michigan has been excellent the last 2 weeks.
Then salmon fishing will be next......gives me something to fill the time with until I get north.
Hopefully for the walleye opener....?

Ice went out last week here in Grand Rapids, Mi. They are killing the perch on Muskegon Lake off Lake Michigan...South Haven should kick in soon. So nice today...I vacuumed out the boat...a coat of wax, and I'm ready for the season!
