If the weather stays the way the weather man is predicting the river below Nekoosa should be open by the end of this week or next at the latest. Get your jigging rods ready!

I just received word this morning that the river is open to the lake and the ramp at Nekoosa is free of ice. They also did some dredging at the ramp on Monday. If you are planning on booking a spring trip I suggest you do so soon.
