Local Bluegill fishermen are continuing to have some action in Monona Bay, Squaw Bay, & on Mud Lake. Lake Waubesa Bluegill action has been spotty, but occasionally, some nice Bluegills have been showing up on the south end of the lake. Perch fishermen have been having periodic success on Lake Monona out from Law Park, and also on Lake Mendota out from Commodore Bar and as of late, out from Dunns Bar off of Gov. Island. The fish continue to be near the bottom and not always cooperative. There have been reports of decent catches recently on both lakes. Lake Mendota Walleye fishermen have been struggling lately. Northerns continue to be somewhat cooperative in several areas of the lake. Some areas to try are off of the Union, Northshore Bay, Fox Bluff, and Spring Harbor. Cherokee Marsh has been slow, but occasionally some nice size Crappies have been caught in the evening. Crystal Lake continues to give up some smaller Bluegills mixed with a few Whitebass and Crappies.

Don't forget to check out the Fishing Expo this weekend at the Alliant Energy Center.
