has anyone else tried for musky in feb. right below the dam at the outflow? if so , do any good?

They normally quit the snow plowing this late in the game so you wouldn't be able to get to the launch. I haven't been there lately but that is normally the case after a big snow hits, they keep up with it when there is small amounts and into December but first big snow they have thrown in the towel. This is over the last few years I've pay attention to it. Red would know more history.

From shore you'd still be able to fish.

Toothy is correct about the plowing. Guys hammer big fish up there from shore, especially in February/March. There is a good chance of catching the state record walleye there during the winter months drifting live bait. The largest walleye caught in the past 10-12 years up there that I know about was 16.9 pounds....less than 1 pound off the current record from Kinzua back in 1980.
