Does anyone know what the story is on the Blount Street power plant discharge into Monona as far as fishing goes? I saw a YouTube video some SCUBA divers took a few years ago with lots of big fish hanging out at what looks like a warm water discharge gate in winter at Monona. I am really only interested in getting some carp, not necessarily the pike or bluegills, even though everything seemed to be hanging out there! I've read there are actually two discharge areas from the plant fairly close together. I've never seen them though. Is there even any fishing access this time of the year?
Thanks in advance for any info.

MG&E is no longer running their generators, or if they are it's at a low level. It's my understanding that this will not change in the future (as they move away from coal burning). There is a section of open water by the one discharge, but nothing like it used to be. Rick
