Crappies, Catfish, Walleyes

I had the pleasure of taking Joe Koeppl and his friend Jason out Saturday to Lake DuBay. Joe and Jason are avid anglers and spend a lot of time fishing the Winnebago system. Joe loves to learn new bodies of water and he had his sites set on Lake DuBay. The morning bite for crappies was a little slow but Jason added some excitement with his 8 lb. catfish. Wanting to learn some new water and with big crowds on the lake- a move was in order. With some map study, prior fishing knowledge, and a hunch on some quieter spots they were soon into some really nice walleyes. Joe and Jason are eager to return to Lake Dubay and I am equally excited for their return to check out this new pattern for walleyes found on Saturday. Take a kid fishing.
