Hi Everyone,

The warmer weather today has really brought the fisherman out on the ice, with some better reports coming in today.

The walleye bite is picking up now. A 32", 11lb Walleye was caught on an area lake in 30ft of water with a Northern size shiner. Out here on Mohawksin the walleyes seem to be deeper as well. Get set up before dark as the bite has been reported to start around 4 and last for a couple of hours. Later in the eveing (9pm) has been producing fish as well.

A steady Crappie bite has been reported in the morning on Lake Alice and Nokomis. Green Rockers and Spitzfire rockers seem to be the jig of choice tipped with a waxie or crappie minnow.

Perch are hitting on the small golden shiners, with some reports from Mohawksin and the somo of 11"ers and up.

Also, Northern Pike on Alice and the Somo are hitting. A 34" Northern was brought into the shop for mounting on Monday. Northern Shiners and Large Northern Suckers have been working great.

See you all soon!! Get out on the ice!!!
