yesterday, was out ice fishing, tried a new spot, a rock bar, lost one pretty good walleye at the hole, probably about 22 inches, right away when I started fishing, and nothing for the rest of the evening. looked like a good night, don't know if they just weren't biting or if I was on a crappy spot. Let me know if anybody else was out, curious if you had the same results I did? Merry christmas!

We're heading to Lost Land and Moose this week from the Beloit area. How are ice conditions (safe for sleds / quads) and any pointers on those two lakes in particular?

sorry about taking so long to reply back. the ice conditions are ok, alot of slush ontop of the ice, havent been out on those lakes at all, but on the bigger lakes, there is anywhere from 4-8 inches of ice, mostly 6-8 inches, but then there are 3-5 inches of slush ontop of the ice, I don't know if the slush is as bad on the the smaller lakes havent been out there yet, or talked to anybody who has been. Hope this helps you out a bit.
thanks,
