ice fishing report for December 18

Jess and I went out fishing this morning for a while, fishing has defenately slowed down, we had shots at 3 walleye two on the dead stick and one on a spoon, only got the one on the spoon, missed the two on the dead stick, I missed one and jess missed one, just one of those mornings. I think the fishing has slowed down from all of the people ice fishing, there is a ton of traffic and people ice fishing on the lakes now, and even saw two people drive there trucks out on the ice, I strongly recomend not doing this!! the ice is very weird, especially on the big lakes, one spot you will have 8 inches of ice, the next 3. so be careful, have been seeing alot of people driving atv's on the ice, just make sure you know where you are going and what the ice is like, I cant believe either of those trucks didnt go through the ice this morning, crazy!!!!!! Trucks on the ice already?! I wonder what made them think that was a good idea. With the way the ice has been, I'm still being pretty cautious about walking on it, much less driving a truck out!

Sounds like you've found a few fish to catch anyway. I haven't been out for a few days. Will have to try to get out and put up some reports soon.
