Well Christmas is upon us and hope you have a Merry one! Lake Erie continues to drop in water temperature and if cold conditions keep it up, we will see ice starting to form. The Erie Drifter team has joined the Lake Erie Charter Boat Association, the only voice on Lake Erie that deals with limit proposals, sportfishing rules and regulations also monitors issues involving dredging operations for public awareness. We have alot of issues on the Lake these days and we felt that out time and donations would be warranted. There still has been no ruling on the limits for next year, the DNR will announce those changes if any, around March 15, 2010. We truely believe that this spring will be a great time for extra large walleyes, with the 2003 class averaging 26 inches and the 2007 class at the 17 to 18 inch range, the Lake Erie Western Basin looks very promising. The Erie Drifter Team will be at the Dayton Hunting & Fishing Show Jan.8-10 and the Cincinnati Show Jan. 20-24 2010, if you are just bored stiff come on down and see us.
