Ice Fishing

Does anyone know if there is enough ice to go fishing by kipling and if so what is the ice thickness. I've been in Minnesota for the past month so I don't even know how kipling is looking for ice. If anyone has been fishing have you had any luck? I'm hoping to be fishing this up coming week in the U.P.
