Gwinn is making ice fast
johnson lake 1 1/4 " and making 1/4 to 3/8 " a day
west bass lake gwinn 1"
will take a ride and check more lakes today and post an update tonight

Ventured out there last year during first ice, with nothing to show but a few small perch. I heard there were Rainbows in this lake. Anyone know what's in there or do any good?. Maybe I'll give it a try again this year.

I fish it a couple times every winter. I've heard theres lake trout in there but never caught any. Have caught brookies in there though. They usually are pretty chewed up from all the pike.

gwinn lakes have 2 to 3" on most lakes
johnson has 2.5" (pike, bass, perch, lake trout, browns and splake)
west bass 2.25" (rainbow, splake, perch, bass, blue gill)
sporley 2" (splake, rainbow, browns, perch
little trout 2" (rainbow, bass, browns)
little shag 2" ( perch, blue gill, rainbow, splake)
big shag 2"(bluegill, pike, muskie, bass)
we made 1" + last night
will check more tomarow and let ya all know
