Water temps are 36-42 degrees depending on the lake.
Walleye are putting on a good bite in the Eagle River area. Fish 15-30 feet
of water on break edges, or 20-30 feet over mudflats. Use a jig and an XL
fathead minnow.
Northern are in 15 feet of water or less in and around weeds. Use a smaller
sucker under a slip bobber or a minnow bait, like Husky Jerk.
Crappie action in the Eagle River area is good. Fish 20-30 feet mudflat
areas, where the crappie are suspending over structure like cribs and
brushpiles. Use a crappie minnow under a slip bobber.
Perch in the Eagle River area are locating in 15 feet of water or less
around weeds, and can also be found in 20-30 feet over mudflats. In both
instances, the perch will be close to the bottom. Under a crappie minnow or
fathead minnow under a slip bobber. Action is fair to good.
