The 22nd Annual "WALLHANGER" Fall Muskie School is a sucess. Beautiful fall weather coupled with some eager fisherman willing to learn how to be better fall muskie fisherman made this event a tremendous success.

The warmer weather seemed to get some of the muskie chasing artificials. However the best bite was on live bait. Congradulations to Dan Ernst, on his two largest muskies ever, a 46, and 46.5 inch muskie found themselves in the net. Again as in 2008 when he boated a 44 incher, Bret Heding caught his new personal best, a 48.25 inch muskie caught on live bait. All fish were returned to the water to fight another day.

Thanks to Guides Choice Pro Shop guide, Mark Rottier for his guiding service and to Jim Bock for his camera skills recording some of the action on video.

The 2010 "WALLHANGER" dates are October 23 to 27. I hope to see some new faces eager to learn how to be better fall muskie fisherman.

There still several good days of muskie fishing left up here and I still have some guiding to do, so come on up to Eagle River, we have some of the seasons best suckers on hand and the fish are biting!!

See you up north,

Ranger Rick
