I just finished fishing with two men from Chicago, and we ended up getting bit 7 times. However as usual you don't get them all. We boated a 34, 37.5, 44.5 and 47.5. Three fish were missed, with one being 48 to 53 inches that I saw grab the smaller sucker right at the boat as the sucker fled towards the surface. How she got the sucker off the hooks still puzzles me, but she was gone when the customer "sent her the news".
All the fish were deeper than 15 feet when they hit. Small to medium suckers are working best on quickstrike rigs.

Again,,,, I can't stress the importance of "low and slow". I didn't see any another fish caught yesterday or today cause the other boats were moving to fast in the wind.

Doesn't appear that many guides are fishing during the week, I've been on the water the past 5 days and haven't seen another guide.

Working the shop tomorrow, Friday nite is the first night of our "Wallhanger"
fall musky school that runs until Tuesday. Stay tuned for the those results.

Good luck on the water.
