Getting cooler up here, but fishing is still excellent. Have had a number of fish in the boat this week with most on suckers.
Bigger lakes are 46 degrees and shallower lakes are as low as 40. I’ve even seen some skim ice on creek and inlet areas, so it has really dropped a tremendous amount in the last three and a half weeks.

Sucker size is bigger lately, (nothing under 12 inches) for strikes and the artificials that are producing most are weighted Suicks, Bulldawgs and Joe’s Live Action lures.

Pay attention to your electronics and watch the weed edge when drifting this time of year. Note the pic of the graph with the muskie on it. Some of you may have been seeing this type of thing and not realized what it is.

Had a productive week overall with a couple nice fish. Rich got a 45.5 with Jim and his 39. Don got a 37 and his buddy Phil got a 35. Judy got a 35 while her husband Howard got a nice 31 inch pike. Todd and Kevin had some fun on Friday and Saturday getting 34, 37 and 40 inchers. We also lost a much bigger one that shook the hook loose.

Saw 30 fish this week, boated 9, had 2 caught in a following boat, lost 5 had two others hit that dropped the sucker. Bigger fish are starting to move with both live bait and artificials.

Also shot some soon to be posted video of sucker rigs and muskies below the boat. Some good stuff is coming up. Keep checking back.

Going to the Packer game with Manthei on Sunday. Don’t worry, my insurance deductible is low.

Don,

No tags in these fish. Some were not from Little St. I'll be looking for them nonetheless.
