Quick update before heading out again this morning... Brrrrr.

Just kidding, water temp on the Chain was running 44 to 38 depending on location. Muskies have definately taken a liking to the dive n rise action of crankbaits and jerkbaits.

Fish still seem to be fairly shallow as all the muskies we contacted yesterday came from shallow weeds. 3 on artificial baits, 1 (and first) on a sucker. We caught two, 34/41 and lost two.

Photo was of ***** with his very first muskie, the 41. A beautiful thing... the fish popped up about 10ft out to grab his bait on the rise. Woke everybody up real quick... Good work *****.

Just curious as to what lakes are the ones producing the fish? I'm hoping to run up North to do one more muskie fishing weekend next week it the ice stays away seeing the wonderful weather we've been having. Pointing me in the right direction is greatly appreciated.

Kentuck has been "on". Heard of a decent sucker bite on LVD. Can't go wrong on the Chains either. Anywhere can be a bit tough now but if you're out there when the feeding window opens expect some good quick action.
