Saturday we left at 11:30 AM, winds were calm after a strong Northeast wind all night and the Perch fishing was very tough. We headed out to the Gull Shoals area in 38 feet of water and found very good marks on the fish finder, however makeing them bite was another issue. We moved around the Kelley's Island North Bay with not much luck. Sunday 8:00 AM we decided to fish for walleye and headed out to the 30/34 line in front of Cedar Point and threw in 10 rods trolling in 46 feet. My other charter buddies were starting to catch some walleye's 125-130 back on 40 jet divers using stinger spoons and dipsy's set at 85 back #3 setting and 70 back on #1 setting. We never netted a walleye, so we headed for the Dumping Grounds out of Vermillion OH Perch Fishing. We ended up with a nice batch of quality Lake Erie Perch and no complaints from this wonderful family who understood that if you fish very hard and give it your best effort, thats all you can do.
