The weather here has turned from summer-like to mid fall-like really fast. Water temps on area lakes have fallen from the low 70's down into the upper 50's to 60 range. The big change of weather has put fishing in my boat into kind of a funk. The walleye bite has been tough to say the least. A few fish are still on weed edges on the Chip, and some fish seem to have moved out deeper into 10 to 16 feet. It's been a light bite.
Musky's are showing themselves but not overly willing to strike a lure. The other day we had four fish up to the boat in the first hour or so and then nothing more the rest of the afternoon. We had one fish about 38" try to eat a twitchbait at boatside but we didn't get hooks in it, other then that one the others were slow followers. We also had a 45" fish looking at our sucker for a while too, but it wouldn't take.
Good Luck and Good Fishing,
