Thursday's walleye action picked up as the water temps continue to drop, down to 51 in early AM hours. My client and I doing just a half day trip, worked wooded river channel edges with Reeves weedless jigs tipped with fatheads and found our 6 keeper eyes in a little over an hour. We then switched over to lighter jigs tipped with a small piece of crawler for panfish hiding in the cribs, but all we could manage was 2 big gills and 1 decent perch.
Back out on Saturday if the weather permits, will keep you posted.
