The water temperatures have really dropped the past few days due to the sudden drastic change in the weather. Almost overnight it seems the muskies have really turned on to live suckers, and with the tougher conditions the past few days, they (suckers) have been an excellent choice for getting toothy critters to bite! Suspending crankbaits and weighted jerkbaits have also been good - baits that you can work deeper and slower, yet with enough irregularity to trigger strikes. October 1st is tomorrow - we're in BIG musky time!
