The warm water temps have slowed the development of the crappie bite a bit, but the persistent anglers are being rewarded for working hard.

Here is a photo of the final day of the Tangen Party's annual September trip.

They reported action has being scattered around in Obabikon in depths of 17 feet and deeper. You could get 5-6 fish in one spot and then have to move around the area to find the next batch.

Crappies rigs and minnows are the ticket for this group year after year.

For those of you not familiar with fall crappie fishing, this photo would normally represent a good morning or afternoon of crappie fishing with the rest of the time being able to chase walleyes.

When the water temps get right, the bite should be ON big time again this year.
