Sunday's walleye action was very poor to say the least. With clear bright sky's and a light and variable breeze, the walleye, and smallies were both pretty much shut down. My 2 clients and I found 2 nice eyes on our first drift in 10 feet of water over submerged stumps and that was it until the last hour of the day when we boated 3 more nice eyes and lost a couple others in 8 feet of water over hard bottom with scattered submerged stumps. Made no difference what we put on our Reeves weedless jigs, crawlers or fatheads, they were just planeshut down.

Monday's trip was very successful as my client wanted to catch a good mess of bluegills. We worked a few cribs with 1/16th ounce weedless jigs tipped with a small piece of crawler and found our 20 gills in a little over 2 hours of fishing.

Back out today if weather permits, will keep you posted.
