Lets start on Lake St. Clair where the fishing has been outstanding for walleye, bass and musky.
Walleye fishing has been good with limits being caught using bottom bouncers in 10-14fow from Pike Cr to Puce River area.
Musky fishing in this area has also been good with plenty of bait be seen on the Lowrance graph. Try fishing body baits like Woodies or inline spinners for best results. Recently a musky tournament was held in Belle River with the winning musky measured 56.25 inches.
Bass fishing continues to be good with numbers being caught in a number of spots. Keys to finding these locations are a good GPS. Most are dragging tubes or drop shot rigs in the deeper water for larger smallies.
Perch fishing off the end of the Belle River hump continues to be good with anglers anchoring with minnows and moving to locate active fish.
The steelhead fishing out of Wheatley has been slow this yr but some fish are still being taken. Try fishing 60-63 fow with the riggers down 25-40 with orange spoons for best results.
