I had Bridgett and Rich out for the first time yesterday. Rich didn't have much action all day but Bridgett, well, Bridgett had some incidents in the boat. She learned the hard way about doing figure eights. She learned the hard way about setting the hook when it feels like a weed. She learned the hard way to set the hook when you see the fish grab it in the figure eight, and she really learned the hard way when about a 46 to 48 inch fish grabbed it that it's hard to reel in those big fish. There were some pretty strong tears coming out after that loss. More like a can't catch your breath sob. Four fish hooked and none in the boat. We had three or four other follows also. Made for a frustrating day but we had a great time none the less. Good people with good action on the water and great weather. You can't ask for much more. By the end I would say Bridgett was much improved on her figure eights and working baits back to the boat. She did a great job and hopefully learned from what happened.
