Been musky fishing the last 3 days, trolling deep clear water lakes, both during the day and night, and haven't gotten a rip!!! I really think it has to do with the full moon, last year in July during the full moon, myself and a number of buddies experienced the same thing. I also talked to a bunch of my friends in wisconsin and minnesota and they all are experiencing the same thing, and extremely tough bite. I really hope it changes quickly!! If you have any reports, hopefully positive ones post them!
Thanks, and good luck!

Tanner, just wondering if there was a specific reason you trolled all three days. Time of year, works on that body of water(s), suspended cisco thing, etc?
At least you can tell yourself you probably had a LOT of follows that didn't commit while trolling, lol.
Hope it turns around for you (and for me!). I, and a lot of guys I've talked to have been having their toughest musky season ever.

I love to troll and june through august is a great trolling bite in our area, so that is why I do it, I won't abandon casting though, but definately like to troll.
Yeah we conservatively (SP??) feel we had over 100 follows in the 3 days, and over half of them were over 50 inches, its just so hard to figure 8 the whole boat!! Just kidding!

Thanks Tanner. I don't troll much, but I know I should. Can cover a LOT more water that way. I do like that thump you feel while casting, but I'm sure hearing the clicker go off is pretty exciting too!
