It's been a busy July thus far! Although I haven't been on the water as much as I'd like in the past week and a half, the muskies and smallmouth have certainly been biting good. Both species have been aggressive towards topwaters and spinner style lures, with the bigger doubled-bladed models such as the DC-10 working well on the toothy critters. Despite the cool evenings/nights, the after-dark time period has been producing muskies in addition to the low light period of morning. The hot summer bite should only continue!
