We have weathered the stroms and the walleye fishing remains very strong.
The 3 days of high wind and rain has taken the surface temp for 71 to 60 degrees. The shallow water crank bait bite has slowed, but the bottom bouncers have started to produce very well. The last two day I have been bouncing with a crawler rig and we have been having fish totals in the 50 to 100 fish per boat. The big fish that were on the shallow points are now in the 18 to 22 foot water and very aggresive.
The bass remain strong also, they have pulled down to the 6 to 8 foot depth and are taking jigs and grubs.
Have not seen many northern or musky as of yet. The cooler water has slowed there progress for a bit, but the forecast is for sunny and warm the next few days and maybe the bigger one will start to come around again.
We had been seeing the muskys following our shallow crankbait walleyes to the boat. But since the cooler temps the walleye have been deeper and the musky have not been as active.
