yesterday guided out on Teal all day, it was a tough day, only saw two small follows in the morning in the weeds, one on a cowgirl, and the other on a Rabid Squirrel Spinnerbait.

This morning, guided out on the chip out of treelands resort, saw one small musky swim by the boat and then it followed my clients Rabid Squirrel Spinnerbait up, but it was about 25 feet behind the bait, probably the laziest follow i have ever seen in my life!

the past week or two, I have been starting my mornings at about 5:45 or 6, with it being so hot, and we haven't really done any good till later in the morning, so if you are up, I really wouldn't be in a rush to get out in the morning, also the last couple of nights it has been about 50 so maybe that will knock the water temps down a bit. Today was warm, not a cloud in the sky and flat calm.

also this morning, when I pulled my boat off the trailer, as I was driving away I relized that I had never put the boat plug in, so I had to pull the boat back out and let it drain, thankfully my client wasn't there, even though I did tell him later that morning. I'm just not really a morning person!!!!

Oh yeah like you've never done that!!!!!!!!!!

good luck,

Tanner:

Great report, when that happens to me, usually someone being helpful by taking the transom saver off, etc., then me not making sure the plug is in, OOPS!!! I usually just reach over the back of the boat and plug it in. Well one November several years ago, I did exactly that, put the plug in, turned on the bilge, get in the boat and away we go... Not!!! Got a couple hundred yards from landing and up through the decking comes the water. Well I had to beach the boat, pull the plug out of the live well opening, plug it in the right opening and let the bilge run for a while. Water temps were in the 40's and I went in knee deep with the coveralls and sorels on. Fished the rest of the day, it was a little uncomfortable, but we made it.

Thanks for taking the time to put up the almost daily reports, I am sure its difficult at times. Hearing more people talking about Rabid baits, I hope it is being reflected in your sales!!!

My problem is not with the plug, but with the rear tie down straps.I like to leave them on and then wonder why the trailer is froating. It happens.Thnks again Tanner for the time you put in on here, much appreciated.

lol at the tie down straps. One time I was pushing and pushing, I just couldn't figure out why the boat wouldn't come off the trailer. Then the guy at the next dock over told me about the straps. heheh..whoops.
