Talking Finally a little time on the water, er/ ice.

The past 2 afternoons I got out for some much needed fresh air and sun.
The fishing was a bit slower than it has been and you really had to work them but I did manage to catch some. Small little jigs in yellow and silver were working and tipped with berkley power bait maggots, spikes to you more experianced folks. These really work and they dont die!!
The fish are still down on the bottom. really slow tiny jiggles working the bait from the bottom up again really slow and watch the rod tip you just might see that bite!!
After that cold snap it felt good to get out but now they are calling again for cold temps... oh well, the days are getting longer more birds are singing when the sun comes out, Jimmy the groundhog says an early spring.... bring it on , the heck with the bubble heads I want open water!!!
