We are finally seeing some warmer weather. Water surface temps are near 70 throughout the system. Walleyes are moving deeper and setting up on traditional summer haunts. Break lines and deeper flats are now holding fish. Minnows are still catching fish, but leeches and crawlers seem to be a better choice. Wise anglers will have all three in the boat, let the fish dictate the best presentation by experimenting. Crawler spinners on bottom bouncers is a good choice to cover water. Cranks are still a good bet in low light conditions.
Muskies are still slow, but they have to eat. The warmer water should improve the bite.
