Thread: Another single vs double blade question

Default Another single vs double blade question

All I see on every musky tv show is people throwing double blades. The little bit I have used them the "pull" was dramatically different. Do you guys use different outfits for singles and doubles or can you use the same for both and finally how much do you use singles versus doubles on the Chip? The advice I get will influence my off season purchases and plans. Thanks in advance.

I probably use single blades about 80 percent of the time on the Chip. I think the double blades get overused if anything. There are times when the double blade is the ticket but most times you don't need it on the Chip.

Lakes with high whitefish populations might call for more double blades or just larger baits in general.

As for reels to use I just use the same reel for everything I throw. Makes life easier.
