Winter Storm Musky Double
The Phillips area was missed by the snow that the rest of the state got yesterday but the winds, moon phase, and falling pressure made for my biggest double ever!!! I hit the water just before 11 am and at 1pm I got my first bite on a sucker, after a nice battle I had an awesome 49.5 inch fish in the bottom of the bag. I met my wife at the dock for a quick picture and let her go. On my next drift I had 2 fish drop my sucker then at 1:30 pm the reel clicked off again!!! This time the 47" fish gave me one of the best fights of my life bringing me around the boat a couple of times. I have netted a lot of big fish by myself but that 47 wanted nothing to do with my boat!!! I was glad to finally see him in the bag.
