Had a chance to come up this weekend as the rest of the family headed south for a few days to the WI Dells (I am too old & beat-up for all the water rides):

I had two nice, but slow follows come out of deep water while jigging 9" Bull Dawgs (white & walleye) off steep drops near Sand Is and over in Crane. I was letting the bait drop down as deep as 24 feet and jigging it back up with erratic pops and drops. Both fish turned tale once I started the 8.

I did get a couple boils on topwaters off the weed edge at Cedar Tops before the Saturday Night storm, but once the lightning got close I headed in. I hooked a nice 20" largemouth on a Rough-Runner (Milwaukee Bay) and a 30+ Northern on a homemade Bobbie bait (West bay of Crane). I tried for walleyes in the early AM's but couldn't keep the bluegills off my bait. Back up in a few weeks.

Looking forward to cooler water temps!

Good Luck to All!
Paul
