I just got this in my E-Mail
Thats one heck of a pig pike!
Cut and Pasted from E-Mail-
This is NOT a fish story !
This is a new record Northern Pike in Canada .. He caught it on Turtle Lake .
Check this thing out.. The man (in the photos below), was fishing and caught a 36" Pike.
As he was reeling it in, a 56" - 55 lb Pike tried to eat it !!!!!
He landed them both in the same net. The last picture is unreal.
For those of you who don't know where Turtle Lake is,
Ist's in Northern Saskatchewan.....probably the biggest
nearby center would be North Battleford,
it's a beautiful resort and lake.

I think this pic has been floating around the internet for 5+ years. Everytime I fish my arms off for 13 hours and catch nothing, I just need to see that last picture and I can't wait to get out again!

This pic/story has been circulating for several years. I had heard that some of these pics were added to the "story" but did not pertain to the actual fish the guy is holding in the boat.
Not sure what to make of this story except that the pike is a bleeping giant.

When i got the email it said it was europe. This was years ago
-
It is definitely not from North America and I had heard Europe as well.
-
False. This was not caught in Saskatchewan. It was caught in Europe.
-
But yea, what a freaking monster though
-
I do not think anyone would say this is anything less than a world class monster. Almost strait out of the bible it is so big
-
Sorry. Guys first I had seen this

Never saw anything so large, how would get it out of the water ?

I sold some lures to a guy in the Netherlands last year that has a tackle shop. He told me it was a european pike, and it was caught before their opener ( which I believe is june 15th ), and he had to let it go. He went on to say that they are not even supposed to fish before then, so there was some controversy surrounding that too. So that's the scoop from that side of the world.
