    Default August on the Chip

    Oh oh..the only time that works for everyone in our group this year is week 2 or 3 of August. Are these the "dog days" I've heard about where you can't catch a cold, let alone a fish? thx.

    It probably can be, but we've fished in mid-August and moved fish.

    Regardless, if it's the ONLY time you can get there, you're still getting there and fishing. Some people can fish based on conditions, I fish based on when I can get on the water.

    Not at all. I've had great fishing in mid August so don't worry about it. Last year was a little different but that was kind of a strange weather pattern. I've never seen the water temp that warm for that long.

    Don't be affraid to try different time periods like after dark or mid day.
