1313 is full pool and it got over that at least once last year, an official told me today. They can go to 1315 if needed, he said.

It was pretty high all last summer and fall, and here's a picture of the Golden Fawn docks in early November.

Sort of ironic picture, if you know what I mean.

Is this the Bill Garder that wrote Time on the Water?

Yes. After many decades of fishing mostly Vilas County, we bought a cabin at Golden Fawn on the Chippewa Flowage a little over a year ago. It's fairly handy to our home in the Twin Cities, and the muskies, as always, are jumping in the boat.

    Hello Bill,
My husband and I met you at the Bob Ellis Classic several years ago. It was a pleasure and welcome to the Chip. Hopefully we will see you on the water.

I recently read "Time on the Water" as I recoverd from an injury, it really helped pass the time till I got back on the water. I was lucky enough to be given a signed copy... Thanks for a fun read!!

    Cool Cfs

I would imagine you'd get one heck of a view down at the dam this weekend...they're letting water out at 2732 cfs! Pretty much full pool as of Friday. That river has got to be boiling! Hope everyone had a great opener!
