Just had a client email me this week asking me if I saw the PA Angler and Boater (September/October issue pg. 47) describing a recipe for preparing musky called "curried musky".

I posted something similar to this earlier this year. The PA fish and boat commission had an article on their website how to prepare musky. I did a quick search for it, but it must have been removed.
I"ve never had musky nor ever plan on it but I've been asked by people if their good eating and my response is one of a disgusted face and telling them it's absolutly horrible, and bad to eat.
Leave it to PA to encourage killing the few muskies we do have.
When I get askded if muskies are good to eat I answer honestly. I tell them I don't know because I release all of mine. Then I let them know that muskies are hard to catch, and unless they are extremely lucky they will be famished until they get one. Normaly they ask what I mean so again I am honest and tell them it took 3 years to get my first. That usually changes their mind about muskies as a food fish.
