Thread: Fairport Salmon

    Default Fairport Salmon

Spent a few days last week chasing salmon at FP. Had pretty good results, caught fish up to 17.5#, quite a few in the 10-15# range, and also fish in the 4-6# size. Not as many shakers as earlier, but still some around. Water temps (warm) had them scattered, we caught fish from 90-170'. Fish are still in good shape, some of the larger ones just starting to get a little color, but most were bright. Spoons off riggers, dipseys way back were best, caught a few on copper. Moonshines (purple), flasher fly, plugs, and meat rigs all produced, nothing really stood out. 110-130' was probably our best, but that can change quick.

What depth were most fish caught? bottom or suspended or all over the place? Thank you for the report Frank.
