Mille Lacs Report 8/30
Geez, whoever has their hands on the dials labeled WIND SPEED and WIND DIRECTION could sure give me break and turn the dials. We have been blasted with a strong, hot south wind since the 26th, and it’s getting old. Fishing has been limited to spots near the southern shore and protected bays and fishing has been difficult, but not entirely unproductive. Though a couple were boated in this stretch, a weather change would be welcome.
The water temperature is about 70 F and visibility is low. The bite has been mixed between weeds and rocks. Rocks have been slower than normal for this time of year, and the weeds have been better than normal, but it’s shifting. The sand has been spotty. The next cold front and drop in water temperature will result in a pattern shift.
That’s the most I’ve offered up in a while so I hope that helps.
