    Default wireline for salmon

I have a 1000' spool of Opti Tackle stainless line that I want to put to work on Salmon. I have a roller rod. Will this spool fit on a Daiwa Sealine 47? It is .012" in diameter. Should I put the whole spool on without any backing or should I use some backing?
I have some Berkley #3 wire leader connector sleeves. Should I use these to a power swivel and then my leader of 40-50'? If so what should I use for a crimping tool? Will my Rapala fishing pliers do the job?
I am obviously new to this so if anyone can tell me the best way to do this if it's other than this let me know.
Maybe you can use knots on the stainless?
    Thanks,
    Lloyd

I would spool the whole thing on. It probably won't fill the reel entirely. I have almost 1000 ft on a convector 20. Tie the swivel on with an overhand loop and you will be all set. No crimps needed. The wire Diver has been my best setup this year.
