    Default Fishing Report June 10

    Congratulaions to Chicago fans.
We have been waiting a long time to see the Blackhawks back on top.
The fishing has slowed a bite with some cooler temps and rainy days.
I am seeing the walleyes on the sonar but they not very cooperative in eating. Yesterday it was raining and windy so we tucked in behind Clam and found the walleyes and northern and muskies in a wind blown bay in the off colored water. We were throwning shad raps and rogues to the edge of the milky water and the fish sitting there waiting for any movement.

With cold and rainy weather today, the water temps have dropped to 61 degrees. The surface temps were at upper 60's and even 70 in some places through the Narrows and at Starter Island just a few days ago, so the fish were quite sluggish today to say the least. We were "marking" them but they had a slight case of lock jaw and it took some coaxing to get them to bite. We started by casting Shad baits and Stickbaits but very few takers with that, then we turned to jigging minnows, leeches, Gulp and spoons. Had a little more success with that. We then started to bottom bounce 1 ounce crawler harnesses (actually Power Baits) and that seemed to be what they wanted. Started catching them pretty consistantly in depths of 15 to 27 ft of water. We stayed south pretty much all day until the heavier rains approached right around dinner time. Tomorrow is our last day.... I hate going home from Witch Bay! "(
