The GM at Wild Eagle Lodge is having his back back outfitted with some Titanium Rods via surgery today.. Three disks fused together.. I had two disks fused about 20 years ago.. The pain and discomfort after the surgery was nothing compared to what it was like before.. Here's to a speedy recovery Derek! No wave riding for you for a while though buddy! Hang in there!

Thanks for all the well wishes fellow anglers! My spinal fusion went really well. Ended up with 6 screws and 4 pins in my back. The speed of my recovery is exceeding my expectations. Not gonna push anything though. Should be able to get back on the water huntin' sometime in July.

In the meantime, you boys go catch a lot of fish!

Good to hear you're gonna live, buddy! Ridin the waves or fighting a big fish is probably not recommended, right now, but come mid July there'll be a seat open for ya aboard the SS Chigger.. :-)
