    Default Pacemaker timing

Hey Ty how early in the season do you start seeing success with the pacemaker? I am fishing in Illinois and we have had a very warm spring. Water temps are in the low 60's. We have had success with spinnerbaits and crankbaits early this season, but can't wait to start throwing my pacemaker. Should I keep with what has been producing, or is the pacemaker a good alternative?

I throw them and other topwaters on the first day of the season. Might as well give them a whirl, especially with the early spring the fish should really be moving.

Thanks for the advise guys. Glad I decided to throw the pacemaker, got this beauty about 20 minutes into the day. She launched at a 45 degree angle out of the water on the strike, it was vicious.

Looks like you have your answer. Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier. Good thing I didn't answer because I would have said don't go away from what is working. Too funny. Congrats on the fish.

    Good luck,
